Argues the AI narrative suits retail since idle hardware can be contributed to farm airdrops, and examines io.net's IO Elements, IO Cloud v2 with Proof of Work verification every 6 hours and the upcoming IOG Package. Compute access is currently permissioned.
GPU clusters verified through Proof of Work every 6 hours
Only io.net products and BC8 can currently access the GPU network
The AI market is expected to grow into a $10T+ industry by 2023.
The market for providing AI compute resources (GPUs) is expected to reach a size of $1.5T+ by 2023.
Personally, I'm betting on leading infrastructure projects like ██████

1/ Every bull market comes with its own powerful narratives.
This cycle, AI will likely be among the leading ones.
It's a narrative that fascinates people and that is less abstract than intents, ZK tech or DA layers.
That means there is a large audience.
2/ What makes this even better, is that this audience can be turned into a community that actively contributes compute resources to the network.
As opposed to DeFi where there are often high capital barriers that make it difficult for small fish to meaningfully participate.
3/ Retail can provide idle hardware resources to farm airdrops from popular AI/GPU projects and potentially even monetize beyond that if inference can successfully be operationalized on the GPUs.
Don't underestimate this in a cycle where airdrops are a narrative in itself.
4/ Incentivized participation has considerable hype potential and creates emotional involvement (strong community).
The project that I talk about is evidence to that.
Have you guessed it already anon?
Correct. It's @ionet.
5/ I have covered @ionet in depth before.
In case you are looking for a comprehensive breakdown of the entire platform and product offering, check out the thread linked below.

6/ Today, we focus on @ionet's role as a potentially leading infrastructure provider in an emerging hyper-growth market.
To understand how @ionet can get there, let's have a look at IO Elements and the IO Cloud v2 as an example of an IO Element service.
x.com/ionet/status/1787950579823898784
7/ Initially, there will be 5 IO Elements in total:
✦ IO Cloud v2
✦ IO Worker
✦ IO Explorer
✦ IO ID
✦ $IO Coin
8/ For a detailed overview of all the elements and their role in the @ionet ecosystem, check this post by @eli5defi! 👇

9/ Wait! What even are IO elements?
IO Elements are basically applications that are built on @ionet's GPU network.
The IO Cloud is one of the key IO Elements.
10/ The IO Cloud provides decentralized GPU clusters for machine learning projects, supported by a network of decentralized nodes.
Users can effortlessly get on board the platform and create or manage clusters using the user-friendly RAY framework.
11/ In IO Cloud v2, all GPU clusters undergo verification through Proof of Work every 6 hours.
Upon successful verification, the GPUs is included in the ready-to-use cluster.
If they pass only the first verification, they will be classified as verified GPUs but not deployed.
12/ These additional security layers come after a recent attack on the network has created considerable uncertainty around the product.
I covered this in the post linked below. 👇

13/ Okay, but back to IO elements!
Today, @ionet products (e.g. Cloud) and BC8 are the only applications that can access the GPU network.
While providing compute to the network is permissionless, accessing the compute capacity and the compute layer (IO Engine), currently isn't.
14/ As mentioned before, these apps are what is referred to as IO Elements.
In other words: Products that are built on top of IO's decentralized network of GPUs.
Soon, @ionet will release a dev-ready toolkit called IOG Package, which will enable anyone to build IO Elements.
15/ This means that any other apps and businesses can build on top of IO Network's DePIN layer in a permissionless way.
The possibilities are limitless.
16/ So let's take a moment to digest this.
IO Network is the underlying DePIN of globally sourced GPUs.
IO Engine is the Compute Layer built on it.
IOG Package lets you build on that infra.
Ultimately allowing any app or business to build an IO Element on top of @ionet.
17/ But wait, what is IO Engine?
The IO Engine is the programmable compute layer built on @ionet.
Soon, this will turn into a fully decentralized blockchain network (a.k.a. IO Network), bootstrapped on top of the decentralized GPU network.
Governed by the $IO token.
18/ Pretty cool, right?
But there is more.
The network of high performance nodes that is what underlies this stack, can be used to bootstrap independent, decentralized networks that run arbitrary IO Elements on top of them.
A whole ecosystem of app-specific (AI) chains anon.
19/ I will keep this for a future thread, but you see where I'm going anon.
If this vision materializes and IO Elements find adoption, being able to successfully operationalize AI inference across a decentralized network, @ionet will be huge.
20/ Especially if the range of IO Elements that are accessible to users broadens and new AI-powered products enter the market, powered by @ionet.
Recent partnership announcement are hinting at a bright future.
21/ While not my sole bet in the space, @ionet remains one to watch, especially considering the mindshare the project has among investors.
DYOR anon. Farming points on these projects could come with a nice payday.
22/ In case you're not bullish enough, have a look at @ScruFFuR's thesis for his @ionet investment below. 👇

23/ The new UI definitely looks promising as this piece of evidence from @Deebs_DeFi proves. 👇
