Bull case for io.net as the leading DeAI/DePIN GPU network: SOC2 compliance, bare metal access, up to 90% cost savings, a buyback and burn model and strong Q4 2024 revenue growth. Calls GPU access one of the few DePIN use cases with clear PMF beyond crypto.

Key claims
Over 327,000 verified GPUs, 5,543 cluster-ready
Q4 2024 revenue $3.1M, up 565% QoQ
$11.7M total network earnings
AI compute market projected at $10.2B by 2030
Decentralized AI infra is going to be a key area of focus for me in the coming months. One of the clear leaders in the DeAI/DePIN sector is @ionet, the largest decentralized GPU network in the market. It enables geo-distributed clustering of institutional-grade compute resources, and powers the $IO intelligence platform that provides seamless access to 25 open-source AI models and various, specialized AI agents, all running on IO's decentralized compute layer. They keep shipping relentlessly, and have made some good moves to strengthen the service offering, including: - SOC2 compliance certification allowing the network to tap into institutional client segments - Bare metal access for maximum control & customizability and improved efficiency - Improving service reliability and cost savings of up to 90% compared to traditional cloud providers, making it particularly attractive for AI startups & research institutions - A rapidly growing infrastructure with over 327,000 verified GPUs, including 5,543 cluster-ready units The network has crossed $11.7M in total network earnings, which also accrues back value to the $IO token, as the platform utilizes a portion of its revenue to repurchase and burn $IO tokens. Coupled with incentives for $IO usage for payments (no fees), a capped supply, and a disinflationary reward model, that makes for interesting tokenomics, given the strong revenue potential the network's business model. Also evidenced by the strong Q4 2024 performance, which showed an impressive 565% quarter-over-quarter revenue increase, reaching $3.1 million, and demonstrating strong market adoption. IMO providing cost-effective access to GPU resources to a rapidly growing market of AI companies and apps, is one of the few large-scale DePIN use cases that has a clear PMF beyond our crypto bubble. The global AI compute market is projected to reach $10.2 billion by 2030, and @ionet is well-positioned to capture a significant portion of this expanding sector. Worth keeping an eye on these foundational layers, especially as the agent vertical is also gaining mindshare and attention again (especially bc of $IO intelligence). NFA but DYOR anon.
