Sei GIGA upgrade and Autobahn consensus as enabler for Monaco
Quote124 words
Sei GIGA scales the L1 to 5 gigagas/s (over 200k TPS) at 400ms latency via Autobahn's multi-proposer consensus and async execution. Monaco's Rust engine matches off-chain at microsecond latency and settles on Sei EVM in under 400ms.

GIGA targets 5 gigagas/s, over 200k TPS, 400ms latency
Monaco sub-1ms end-to-end median latency
Autobahn orders multiple blocks of data in one consensus instance
The Sei GIGA upgrade is a key enabler for @monacotrading btw.
It will scale the L1 throughput up to 5 gigagas per second (enabling >200k TPS) at 400ms latency, which means that while off-chain matching through the Rust-based engine happens microsecond latency (with sub-1ms end-to-end median latency), trade settlement on the Sei EVM L1 also happens in under 400ms.
@SeiNetwork's GIGA performance is powered by Autobahn, a novel consensus mechanism centered around a multi-proposer architecture, leveraging a simultaneous data propagation and periodical commitments (a.k.a. "tip cuts") to allow multiple blocks worth of data to be ordered in a single consensus instance.
This enables asynchronous execution, where the network only reaches consensus on tx ordering, while the actual state computation can happen asynchronously in background.

What's also cool about @monacotrading aside its tech (enabling micro-second latency), is it's unique, ecosystem-centric approach without a native frontend. Acting as a shared liquidity and CLOB infra layer, it will enable builders to permissionlessly plug into the system (while
