Automata Multi-Prover AVS: TEE provers for rollups on EigenLayer
Post216 words
Explains Automata's Multi-Prover AVS, live on mainnet, which lets rollups bootstrap a secondary TEE prover and decentralized TEE committees to hedge single-prover bugs. Launch partners include Linea and Scroll, and the code is open source.
Key claims
The Multi-Prover AVS is live on mainnet
Most rollups rely on a single prover
Proofs are generated in a secure enclave and verified on-chain
Meet @AutomataNetwork, the Multi-Prover AVS on @eigencloud! ♾✨
Automata is combining machine trust with cryptoeconomic security and will make open, verifiable innovation a reality.
The Multi-Prover AVS is now live on mainnet! 🥂
🤔 What is Automata?
Automata extends machine trust to Ethereum with TEE Coprocessors. Its Multi-Prover AVS enable rollup systems to bootstrap decentralized TEE Committees and harden security. It allows for unique diveersity in TEE models (for different provers/VMs), with proofs generated within the secure enclave for execution integrity with subsequent verification on-chain.
🤔 Why does Automata matter?
Most rollups rely on a single prover, leaving them vulnerable to network-breaking bugs. Automata's Multi-Prover AVS streamlines the process for protocols to bootstrap a secondary TEE Prover.
Thereby Automata bolsters security of any integration partner and might be especially interesting to validity rollups such as their launch partners @LineaBuild and @Scroll_ZKP. However, it can also find adoption in other ZK use cases (e.g. interop protocols).
🤔 What else is noteworthy?
Automata's multi-prover AVS is fully open source! If you're a developer and want to learn more about how to build an AVS in production, make sure to have a look at the Automata codebase.
Modular ZK infrastructure secured by @eigencloud's restaking mechanism will be huge anon and @AutomataNetwork is among the leaders in the game.
DYOR!
