ZK proofs will define the next era of innovation in distributed systems The modularization of the ZK stack brings us closer to the endgame and gives rise to multi-billion $$$ infrastructure projects Meet ███████ the universal proving layer of the modular stack Alpha-🧵 t.co/iGvLC2ZFyd 1/ ZK is the most important innovation since blockchains themselves. Verifiable computation will reshape how we build decentralized networks and (ZK) applications. 2/ With the modularization of the ZK tech stack, novel use cases become possible as these emerging infrastructure projects shape up to be worth billions. A leader of the game is @gevulot_network. ⤵️ 3/ @gevulot_network's core objective lies in enhancing the efficiency of ZK infrastructure. Gevulot pursues a vision of a future in which ZK is the endgame (& will impact the entire modular stack). A future in which ZKPs are super fast & super cheap. x.com/gevulot_network/status/1782299921745629562 4/ @gevulot_network aims to allow for centralized-equivalent proving performance while providing high liveness & availability guarantees. It achieves this through its innovative dual-node architecture optimized for proof generation/verification and an extremely simple consensus. 5/ The two primary node types in @gevulot_network are provers & validators. At a high level, users broadcast proving workloads, validators process transactions and order them into blocks, and provers complete proving workloads and verify proofs. 6/ @gevulot_network's parallel processing capability significantly boosts network efficiency & scalability, allowing nodes to run multiple provers & verifiers simultaneously. As a result, the network can handle various provers working on distinct proofs at the same time. 7/ At the core of the network lies the global prover set, which serves as the foundational layer by signing up provers & allocating workloads. However, @gevulot_network also introduces custom prover sets to enable a modular & adaptive approach to storage / proof computation. 8/ This innovation allows the incorporation of specialized external software tailored to diverse use cases, ranging from specialized hardware integration to proprietary prover deployment. Custom prover sets enhance the system in several key ways ⤵️ 9/ ✦ Reduced congestion & faster txs by distributing tasks to custom prover sets. Simpler data storage & maintenance. ✦ Custom prover sets encourage a rich ecosystem of software integrations. ✦ Dynamic network participation, adapting to new demands & innovations quick. 10/ @gevulot_network's custom prover sets are versatile, supporting various apps like integrating specialized hardware such as FPGAs, ASICs, TEEs. This flexibility not only enhances the network's computational efficiency but also paves the way for novel functionalities. 11/ What are the use cases of @gevulot_network you ask? As I have outlined in my post below, Gevulot's ZK endgame vision basically encompasses any type of computation that is verifiable or rather provable. x.com/zerokn0wledge_/status/1793639117433008165 12/ Let's have a look at some examples! ⤵️ xx Validity Rollups In the past, validity rollups had to set up their own prover networks or depend on their sequencers to handle complex computation. With @gevulot_network and custom prover sets anyone can easily deploy a prover. 13/ ⚙️ Proof Aggregation Many rollups need to aggregate a large number of smaller proofs into one aggregate proof. For example, a privacy rollup like @aztecnetwork could use @gevulot_network for proof aggregation while retaining its desired privacy guarantees. 14/ 🖥 zkVMs There are already tens of zkVM implementations including CairoVM, Risc0, zkBPF, but also zkEVMs. Any such zkVM implementation can be deployed on @gevulot_network and used as a standalone environment when combined with some state storage system. 15/ 🌉 ZK Bridges Zk-bridges rely on Proof-of-Consensus, which can also be deployed to @gevulot_network as a prover leading to minimal additional hardware needing to be run. 16/ 🔌 Verifiable RPC Most applications currently depend on centralized RPC providers. Verifiable RPC is a mechanism that eliminates the need to trust an RPC provider by having the provider generate a proof of data accuracy. Proving can be outsourced to @gevulot_network. 17/ 🧠 zkML Projects like @ModulusZK are working on generating validity proofs of LLM inference. These proofs can be generated on @gevulot_network. 18/ 🥷 zkFHE Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) allows for computing on encrypted data, without revealing the data. With Gevulot, a user encrypts the data, passes it as an input to a prover program, which runs a computation on the encrypted data & returns a proof (zkFHE). 19/ 🚀 ZK Co-Processors ZK Co-Processors enable complex computations for smart contracts, that would be too costly to perform on-chain. These coprocessors handle the computations off-chain and produce a proof (e.g. with @gevulot_network), which can then be validated on-chain. 20/ How to get involved? The @gevulot_network Devnet is live and welcoming new users. Gain access by registering a key. Once registered, you can utilize the platform to deploy arbitrary provers and verifiers, and execute workloads to generate and verify proofs 21/ The Devnet offers the following functionality: ✦ Deploy arbitrary provers & verifiers ✦ Run proving workloads to generate & verify proofs ✦ Track workload status & retrieve outputs via an API ✦ Store proofs 22/ The roadmap beyond devnet? Check below! ⤵️ 23/ As the ecosystem matures, modular & universal proving layers are key. They are also a good match for verification layers like @horizenglobal by the way. Modularizing ZK and making the endgame reality. 🧱✨ x.com/gevulot_network/status/1775245505502802154 24/ And since we have been talking about ZK-powering the modular stack, definitely worth highlighting today's partnership announcement with @radius_xyz's shared sequencer. x.com/gevulot_network/status/1793576549150843146 25/ On a sidenote, @gevulot_network recently announced a $6M seed round led by @variantfund. 26/ Definitely one to watch with ZK season around the corner. The ZK endgame is near and it will change the world. DYOR and study @gevulot_network anon. That's a wrap! I hope you've found this thread helpful! 🫡 Make sure to follow me @zerokn0wledge_ to stay ahead of the ZK endgame! Like/Repost of the below post is also highly appreciated! 🙏👇
