Chain Signatures on Near Protocol
Chain Signatures allow @NEARProtocol accounts to sign and execute transactions across multiple blockchains.
The process starts with deriving a foreign address using the NEAR account, a specific derivation path, and the MPC serviceโs public key.
This generates a deterministic address on the target blockchain.
Subsequently, transactions are constructed according to the target blockchainโs requirements, such as Ethereum or Bitcoin.
The NEAR account then requests a signature from the multichain MPC smart contract.
This smart contract recursively calls itself until the MPC service signs the transaction.
The signature is reconstructed from the response elements and relayed to the target blockchain for execution.
