– Multi-proposer consensus: Autobahn lets validators propose blocks in parallel. It finalizes transaction ordering only (not execution), using snapshots (“tip cuts”) across validator lanes.
– Async, deterministic execution: Blocks are executed after they’re finalized. Transactions run in parallel where possible, using optimistic concurrency; conflicting ones are re-executed if needed.
– Consensus and execution are decoupled: Finality is reached before execution happens. This keeps the network responsive, even under heavy load or partial failure.
– Flat key-value state + accumulators: No Merkle trees. Fast writes, fast reads, and lightweight proofs for state access, optimized for light clients and efficient verification.
– No mempool. No sequencer. No monolithic bottlenecks.
