As with any hot narrative in crypto, there are dozens of airdrops that everyone tells you to farm and dozens of tokens being shilled.
What they often don't tell you tho, is if the project you're supposed to farm or buy into has any technical and/or product-level moat that gives it a real USP in the longterm, and how early or late you actually are.
The same is happening amid the CLOB wars, where KOLs getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in Aster tokens are shilling you the most recent CEX-led value extraction effort, piggybacking on Hyperliquid's success and clearly targeting retail.

Tbh I do also find it a bit sad that so many ppl out there call themselves "crypto natives" or "defi maxis", etc. but blindly follow extractive KOLs to fill the pockets of the enemy (the CEXes) hoping for a quick buck, instead of supporting the teams that actually put in the work to build real DeFi infra.
But at least @DefiLlama has delisted Aster for providing fake volume data lol. We're winning frens.
