The RetroPGF is a highly interesting funding experiment and it was fascinating to watch this play out.
At first I thought smaller projects might get overlooked. Turns out that this was absolutely not the case with a total of 78% of applications reaching quorum, including many smaller projects or individual applications.
Finally, a total of 502 projects have qualified for a retroactive grant!
I'm sure the RPGF3 will have a profound impact on the @optimismFND ecosystem and further catalyse growth within this vibrant and diverse universe of users, builders and protocols!
Definitely very excited to be part of this movement! ๐ดโจ
๐ฎ So what happens next?
๐ด Voting period closed
๐ด Results announced (soon)
๐ด Projects undergo KYC
๐ด Grant distribution over 90D
๐ธ How much OP do projects receive?
โถ๏ธ Voting badgeholders assign a grant allocation to the projects on the ballot they submit.
โถ๏ธ They can allocate a total of up to 30m OP among applications and up to 5m OP to a single application.
โถ๏ธ If a badgeholder is not voting on an application, it means expressing indifference as to how much OP this application should receive.
โถ๏ธ Final results are calculated using the median. However, it is imperative that an application reaches a minimum Quorum of votes from 17 badgeholders to qualify for a grant in the first place.
Stay optimistic & LFG! ๐ดโจ
