Particle Network's Chain Abstraction Coalition and why modular needs it
Quote340 words
Covers Particle's alliance of 50 L1 and L2 ecosystems aimed at unifying users and liquidity. Argues the modular multichain future fragments liquidity and UX, so app adoption needs chain abstraction: one account, one balance, any chain.
Key claims
Coalition spans 50 L1 and L2 ecosystems
Partners include Arbitrum, Berachain, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Linea and Botanix

@ParticleNtwrk just announced the Chain Abstraction Coalition.
An alliance of 50 L1 & L2 blockchain ecosystems dedicated to unifying users and liquidity across chains amid the modular expansion.

We're into a rollup-centric multi-chain future composed of 1000s of app- and vertical-specific rollups, where many use cases will have dedicated state machines.
A modular future, where blockchains are customized at every layer of the tech stack and the core functions are stripped apart into distinct functional layers, that are optimized to serve a very specific purpose.
This fosters innovation and allows for use cases previously suffering under the limitation of monolithic general purpose blockchains like Ethereum, to finally reach their full potential.
Modularity holds a big promise to make Web3 ready for mass adoption ready applications on an infra level.
However, all the benefits of customizability, scalability, etc. that come with modular network configurations, do not come without drawbacks.
The quickly growing number of execution layer leads to an increasing fragmentation of liquidity and users across ecosystems.
This makes it harder for apps to bootstrap a user base and significantly worsens the UX on the end user side, as the friction between ecosystems introduces additional complexity.
โ ๏ธ That's a problem.
Because without app layer adoption, all the cool infra isn't really worth much.
So what's the solution here?

That means unifying a fragmented backend of modular chains towards the end user and completely abstracting the complexity attached to multi-chain interaction for end users.
This will allow for a user experience exempt from the manual processes required to interact with multiple chains.

To advance this vision, @ParticleNetwork has partnered with leading blockchains such as @Arbitrum, @Berachain, @Avax, @BNBChain, @LineaBuild, and @BotanixLabs.
Together, they are committed to providing developers and end users with superior interoperability features.
This is a huge leap forward for the Chain Abstraction space as a whole and the beginning of a new era of unification!
