Personal top 20 crypto watchlist grouped by narrative

Thread1,043 words

Twenty watchlist assets in six groups: private compute and money, decentralized AI, machine economy, perp DEX and HL ecosystem, stablecoin and institutional rails, and physical infrastructure. Each gets a one-line thesis; ARX is the main privacy bet.

Key claims
Hyperliquid has burned 48M+ HYPE lifetime
Lighter has bought back 17.5M LIT
DoubleZero: 64%+ of Solana stake routes through it
Market is dipping, which might just be the chance to load up on strong assets. Leaking my personal top 20 watchlist, built over the past weeks & months, and grouped by narrative. Maybe you find smth interesting: 1) Private compute and private money - $ARX: encrypted supercomputer, a decentralized MPC network for private AI (study Blackthorn) and any encrypted compute use case, incl. the confidential token standard cSPL on Solana. The lagging peer to ZAMA and my main privacy bet rn. → DYOR: @Arcium - $ZAMA: FHE protocol for confidential assets issued, traded and managed on public chains, built for institutions. Already kinda owns the private money/DeFi angle if we talk programmability/composability beyond ZEC). → DYOR: @zama - $AZTEC: the privacy L2 on Ethereum, private smart contracts written in Noir with client-side proofs and decentralized sequencing and proving. Had some hiccups along the way but probs the highest beta play in the privacy basket here. → DYOR: @aztecnetwork 2) Decentralized and private AI - $TAO: subnets compete for TAO emissions by serving inference, training, compute and prediction, each with its own alpha token under dTAO so emissions follow real stake demand. The index bet on decentralized AI. → DYOR: @opentensor - $VVV: private, uncensored inference on open models. Staking gives a pro-rata share of daily API capacity and mints DIEM, $1 of API credit per day in perpetuity. AI compute as a yield-bearing asset. → DYOR: @AskVenice - $PRL: Pearl, an AI L1 running proof of useful work. GPU miners do matrix multiplication and AI inference instead of hashing, results are verified onchain, mainnet since April. New floating-point PoUW scheme for Blackwell with near-zero overhead on vLLM inference went live on Pearl endpoints mid-Sep. The proof of work take on decentralized AI, emissions buy real inference instead of hashes. → DYOR: @prlnet - $NEAR: open infrastructure for the agent economy, confidential execution and inference, >1M TPS, liquidity unified across 30+ chains via intents. → DYOR: @NEARProtocol - $AURORA: the EVM on NEAR that quietly turned into a cross-chain execution layer via Aurora Intents, one signature to swap, deposit and execute across 20+ chains. Small cap beta riding the NEAR intents hype. → DYOR: @auroraisnear 3) Machine economy - $PEAQ: base layer for the machine economy, robots doing business onchain, anyone activating, financing and building multichain apps around their machines. → DYOR: @peaq - $CODEC: full robotics stack. Simulate and train in SimArena, build on Fabric (compute) and OPTR (runtime), get on a factory floor through the foundry, fund it on @machinedotfun (launchpad for hardware/robotics builders). → DYOR: @codecopenflow 1/2 4) Onchain trading venues and perp DEX ecosystems - $HYPE: Obviously the king of perp DEXes (both in terms of volume and OI). HyperCore for the exchange, HyperEVM for apps, HIP-3 for builder-deployed perps, HIP-4 for prediction markets, supports unified/portfolio margin, and since recently also native borrow & lend. By far the most mature player and ecosystem (tons of builder code integrations across wallets/terminals, @tradexyz as dominant HIP-3 DEX alongside a bunch of others, etc). Revenue funds buybacks with 48M+ HYPE burned lifetime. The benchmark everything else here is priced against. → DYOR: @HyperliquidX - $LIT: fully verifiable zk order book perp DEX on Ethereum, zero fees for retail, fees buy and burn LIT, 17.5M bought back so far, Bitwise ETP live on Xetra since this week. Def one of the more credible “HL challengers”. → DYOR: @Lighter_xyz - $DIME: privacy-preserving zero-fee perps and options across 250+ markets incl. equities, FX and commodities, unified margin, ZK-encrypted positions and XUSD, a yield-bearing stablecoin, all on its own L2 (DimeVM). Paradigm RFQ liquidity plugged in this month. Smallest FDV of any perp DEX token on this list and combining three hot narratives in one (perps, privacy, options). → DYOR: @paradex - $PURR: first HIP-1 native spot token on Hyperliquid, and literally the only token aside HYPE deployed by Jeff and team. Half airdropped, half locked into the book via HIP-2 Hyperliquidity. Official mascot, could play a role in S3 airdrop speculations, and is the most obvious HYPE beta imo. → DYOR: @HyperliquidX - $KNTQ: Kinetiq, the largest HYPE liquid staking protocol (kHYPE), now building Elysium, the first Hyperliquid L2 on the OP Stack, with mainnet slated for late Oct (incl Ascend launchpad). Protocol revenue buys back KNTQ and sends it to the Assistance Fund, permanently out of circulation (KIP-5), and half of Elysium sequencer revenue is earmarked for the same. Main non-meme HYPE beta. → DYOR: @Kinetiq_xyz 5) Stablecoin, tokenization and institutional rails - $XPL: the stablecoin L1. Zero-fee USDT transfers via a protocol paymaster, $1.4B of stables on chain, and Plasma One, the neobank (incl. card offering) on top. The big team and investor cliff cleared on 25 Sep, monthly vesting from here. → DYOR: @Plasma - $CC: Canton Coin is the utility token of Canton, the privacy-enabled institutional chain. CC pays for network traffic and gets burned, featured apps now have to lock it (CIP-116), Visa just joined as super validator and DTCC is in production. The institutional chain bet and privacy-adjacent play. → DYOR: @CantonNetwork - $EDEL: Canton-native perp DEX for tokenized equities and commodities with private position state. Vaults and Runway coming too, and team recently got a seat in the DTCC Digital Assets Industry Working Group ahead of the DTC tokenization service in Q4. Swiss team, and the small cap way to Canton exposure (main comp Titan doesn’t have a live token yet). → DYOR: @edeldotfinance - $BP: Backpack, a neo-brokerage issuing 30+ tokenized US stocks on Solana, redeemable 1:1 and usable as collateral for perps and margin in one account. No team or investor allocation, unlocks only on growth milestones, long-term stakers can convert to equity. A tokenized stock issuer bet with strong growth trajectory and comparably low valuation (if the reference is Ondo). → DYOR: @Backpack 6) Physical infrastructure - $2Z: DoubleZero, a private fiber network under high-performance chains. 64%+ of Solana stake already routes through it and Hyperliquid order book data ships over its Edge feed since this week. Fees are paid in stables and converted to 2Z, 45% to fiber providers, 45% to validators, 10% burned, so no passive emissions. Definitely a picks and shovels bet and rather unique. → DYOR: @doublezero NFA tho, DYOR anon. 2/2
